What if a girl doesn't have a sponsor? Or the sponsor changes their mind?
Normally, a student’s tuition is paid in full before enrollment. In rare cases, a sponsor might be permitted to pay a student’s tuition on an installment plan (for instance, if the student were about to change jobs, or marry, and thus enrollment had time value). When this is done, it is carefully explained to the sponsor that should installment payments not be made promptly, the student would become liable for tuition, and the Academy would be forced to recover tuition moneys by placing the student with one of our commercial contacts.
Has this ever happened? Perhaps, and perhaps not. It has on occasion suited the Academy’s purposes for a student to be informed of the possibility of such placement.
